There is a lot of misinformation floating around about keto, some of which even comes from trained medical professionals who don’t quite understand how keto works to naturally reset the human body.

Take a beat to read up on the ketogenic way of living and how it has been used in the past. Take particular note of the common misconceptions that it isn’t sustainable long-term or that fat is bad for you. There are also plenty of books available and YouTube channels covering the great myths about fat and the detriments of sugar. I especially enjoy Dr. Eric Berg. Your aim is to remove all the simple carbs (foods like breads, cereals, and potatoes) and be left with the complex carbs (vegetables) that are much more nutrient-rich and helpful in the body’s metabolic functions.

  • an accountability partner or keto coach
